Os atores Daniel Radcliffe e Emma Watson participaram da gravação de um vídeo de 5 minutos que será exibido para agradecer aos telespectadores no final dos jogos.
A mensagem de Emma, por exemplo será ''espero que você tenha tido um momento maravilhoso, continue amando Londres''. A de Dan não foi divulgada. Entre outras celebridades que aparecem no vídeo oficial das Olimpíadas estão o músico Gary Barlow, o comediante Simon Pegg, o boxeador Amir Khan e vários atletas olímpicos.
Vale lembrar que as Olimpíadas acontecerão de 27 de julho a 12 de agosto. Londres sediará os jogos pela terceira vez, tendo feito antes em 1908 e 1948.
Rupert Grint e David Heyman também participarão das Olimpíadas, mas não pelo vídeo: ambos se juntarão ao representante da Warner Bros. Josh Berger para discutir o sucesso da série Harry Potter. Isso em uma conferência no dia 31 de julho que falará sobre o sucesso da indústria cinematográfica no Reino Unido.
